How it works

Connect a number

Pair WhatsApp by scanning a QR code, the same way WhatsApp Web works. Use a spare number — the beta note at the bottom of this page explains why that matters.

Step two

Choose the groups

Every group starts switched off. WALAO only ever receives new messages from the groups you enable, and you can turn one off again at any time.

Step three

Read one brief

At the time and timezone you pick, each group is summarised and the results merge into a single Today Brief.

Then

Ask it anything you already agreed to

“What did procurement decide yesterday?” — answered from the groups you approved and the data still inside your retention window, with the messages it relied on attached.

Every line opens to the messages it was drawn from. When a group has nothing worth reporting, WALAO says so instead of padding the brief.

Data custody

Built to hold less of your data, not more

  • Every claim carries the group, the time and the message it came from.
  • A group is not processed until you enable it, one at a time, on purpose.
  • Raw messages are deleted after 1 to 30 days — whichever you choose.
  • Export everything, or delete it all. Both leave an audit record.
