Account and settings
Control when WALAO works, how much raw data it keeps, and how you leave.
Plan and usage
| Plan | Enabled groups | Messages per UTC day | AI summaries per UTC day |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 3 | 500 | 5 |
| Pro or active trial | 20 | 5,000 | 50 |
One credit equals one AI-generated group summary. The Settings page also shows per-group credit use over the last 30 days.
Cancelling changes the account to Free immediately. It does not delete summaries, memories, or reminders, but smaller caps can block groups above the Free limit.
Pause processing
Pause stops incoming event storage and summarisation. New events are dropped, not queued for later. Existing pending work waits until processing resumes.
WALAO records the missing coverage so later summaries can show that the window was incomplete.
Set your daily message
Choose a time and IANA timezone for the account's WhatsApp digest. This is separate from each group's summary schedule.
The daily message carries the selected pick and a link to Today. Interval pushes and relevant mention pings can still arrive outside this daily time.
Choose raw message retention
Set 1 to 30 days. WALAO stamps each stored message with its expiry time when the message is accepted.
Changing the value controls newly stamped retention and the purge process for message rows. It does not delete summaries, confirmed memories, or confirmed reminders.
Raw provider event payloads are stored in a separate ingestion table and processed rows do not currently follow the message retention timer.
Quality review and outbound consent
Quality review
Off by default. If enabled, WALAO operators may read summaries, but not raw messages, to review output quality. Turning it off ends that permission for future review.
Tier 1 outbound
Off by default. This advanced consent controls supported outbound sends from the paired number. Read the exact wording in Settings before authorising it.
Attestations
Settings lists the versions and times of important terms, gateway-risk, group-responsibility, and outbound permissions you accepted.
Export, log out, or delete
Export
Export downloads a JSON file with retained messages, summaries, memories, outbound recipients, retention, pause state, groups, and schedules.
It omits some account data, including reminders, Today picks, item states, login identity, trials, and several consent or audit records.
Log out
Log out ends the current web session. It does not pause processing or disconnect WhatsApp.
Delete account
Typing DELETE removes the account's primary database records and destroys the wrapped account key. A content-free privacy audit record remains.
After deletion, also revoke the linked device from WhatsApp because account deletion does not prove that the upstream gateway session has ended.
