Manage groups
Every discovered group starts off. You decide what WALAO may process.
How groups appear
After a successful connection, WALAO asks the gateway for group metadata and creates disabled entries. A new incoming message can also create an entry if the conversation was not listed earlier.
Use the name and member count to distinguish groups with similar names. Search can filter by name or identifier.
The current message-driven discovery path does not enforce the group identifier check used by initial seeding. A direct chat may appear in the list. Enable only entries you have confirmed are groups.
Enable a group
- Tell the members
Copy the disclosure shown on the Groups page into the group.
- Confirm responsibility
Read the current attestation and affirm it for the groups you enable.
- Switch on the group
Only new inbound messages after enablement are accepted for processing.
- Set the schedule
Choose local time, timezone, summary language, and either daily or interval cadence.
Choose a useful schedule

Frequent group summaries do not automatically mean frequent WhatsApp messages. The daily account message has its own time in Settings, while mentions can create separate pings when the related checks pass.
Disable or delete a group
Disable
Disabling stops new ingestion immediately and cancels pending summary jobs. Existing stored data remains until its own deletion rule applies.
Delete group data
Deleting removes the group row and its messages, summaries, schedules, jobs, consent records, and related confirmed reminders or memories. It also scans queued raw events for that group.
Use disable when you may return. Use group deletion when you intend to remove the stored group data.
Plan caps
Free supports up to 3 enabled groups. Pro and the active trial support up to 20. If an account falls back to Free while more groups remain enabled, the earliest enabled groups keep processing and the rest are blocked until the count is reduced or the plan changes.
