Start with one low-risk group and prove the workflow before you expand.
Is WALAO a fit?
WALAO is built for people who manage several active WhatsApp groups and need decisions, actions, dates, and open questions without rereading every message.
Good fit
Operations leads, business owners, project coordinators, community admins, and people who need a daily group review.
Not a good fit
Regulated work, confidential client groups, emergency response, or any workflow where an AI mistake could cause immediate harm.
The private beta relies on an unofficial gateway. Pairing can put the WhatsApp account at risk.
Prepare before you sign up
- An email address you can open now.
- A spare WhatsApp number that is not essential to your business.
- One low-risk group whose members can be told about summarisation.
- Permission or a clear basis to process messages from that group.
- A preferred summary time, timezone, and language.
Set up your first group
- Create an account
Open Sign in, choose Sign up, accept the current terms, enter your email, and submit the eight-character code.
- Read the pairing disclosure
Confirm that you understand the unofficial gateway risk before WALAO enables the pairing button.
- Pair WhatsApp
Scan the QR code from WhatsApp linked devices and wait for the connection to show as connected.
- Tell the group
Copy WALAO's disclosure text into the group before you enable processing.
- Enable one group
Confirm your responsibility, switch on the chosen group, then set its time, timezone, language, and cadence.
- Review the first output
Open Today after the first scheduled summary. Check source messages before acting on an important item.
What to expect
Every group starts off. New messages from an enabled group are stored for the retention window and may be summarised on that group's schedule.
The Today view combines recent summary items and selects up to five that appear to need your attention. A quiet day can correctly produce no pick.
The trial uses Pro limits and is granted once per paired WhatsApp number. When it ends, the account returns to Free limits.
Your setup is complete when
- The Connection page says connected.
- Only the groups you intended to process are enabled.
- Each enabled group shows the correct schedule and language.
- The group members have received your disclosure.
- You know how to pause processing and revoke the linked device.
